ORAKZAI: Five terrorists and two officials were killed in exchange of fire during an intelligence-based operation carried out by security forces in the Orakzai Agency on early Wednesday, ARY News reported.

A key operative of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) identified as ‘Duran’, was among the killed militants.

Two Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel Major Mudassar and Sepoy Mutiullah also martyred in the exchange of fire during the operation.

The security operation was conducted by FC personnel as part of Operation Raddul Fasaad in a village in Orakzai tribal region.

Operation Raddul Fasaad, which aims to indiscriminately eliminate the residual threat of terrorism, was launched in the aftermath of a fresh resurgence of terror attacks in Pakistan.
