Building collapse: Builder still absconding
Description
At least 56 people died in the collapse of the seven-storey illegal under-construction building at Shil Phata in Daighar, Mumbra, near Mumbai. A case has been registered against the builders under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC, and efforts were on to trace them. Jamil Qureshi, the owner of the building, has been absconding ever since. A deputy municipal commissioner and a senior police inspector have been suspended.
