Budget FAQs: Economic survey explained

The Economic Survey is presented by the Ministry of Finance and prepared under the guidance of the Chief Economic Adviser of India. The report is presented ahead of the Union Budget. While the Union Budget is a forward looking document that deals with receipts and expenditure estimated for the next financial year (2022-2023),the Economic Survey looks back at the previous financial year (2021-2022) and focuses on the performance of Indian economy in this period.
