Buddhist monk walks up mountain without ropes
Description
This is the astonishing moment a barefooted Buddhist monk skillfully climbed a steep mountain while others struggled to reach the top.
The religious devotee was seen carrying two bags up the incline while wearing orange robes on the outskirts of Vientiane, Laos on July 20.
Other people had ropes and climbing gear but still struggled to reach the peak.
Vung Lomlalaiy, one of the climbers, said: "The road to perfection is harder than the way to sin. The monk is so enlightened he has no problem walking up steep mountains.''
Monks are respectable figures in the Buddhist country where they are worshiped as examples of righteousness.
Some superstitious followers believe that the monks have supernatural powers like extraordinary strength to walk up hill with ease and speed.
