Bruce Larkin - Witch's Assistant's Lament

Yesterday was a great day,
Except for one minor hitch.
I'm now up to my neck in gunk.
I'm trapped in this slimy ditch.
Let this be a lesson to you,
Never cross a vindictive witch.

The witch had returned from the beauty salon.
And asked me to go to the store.
I grabbed my coat and keys,
But as I was heading for the door,
I made the off-hand comment,
"I liked your hair better before."
