Bruce Bigelow - Half A Mind

If I had half a mind
I’d know better than to be critical,
But sometimes I observe
the passing scene inexplicable.

Have you seen those characters,
wearing their pants at half-mast?
Any sense of fashion
has been totally bypassed.

Half baked or half witted,
it’s hard to surmise,
Why they’d want their britches
hangin’ down to their thighs.

Who knows what they’re thinkin’,
or if they think at all.
If the pants slipped to their ankles,
it could mean a bad fall.

I’d think it annoying
with your pants on half way.
It’s not really cool,
unless you want a breezeway.

So if by chance you get mooned
by this character half assed,
You can consider the source,
for he’s easily outclassed.

One could assume he’s been smokin’
some kind of a weed,
And his mind is working
at only half speed.
