Broken Hearts - *In a Flash*

Standing silently
At the curb,
An umbrella
Held tightly in my hand
Eyes looking down
At my feet
Millions pass by me
Everyday
Not a single
Understands
The rain pours profusely
Drowning
That of my broken heart
Shattered and bloody
Amongst the ground
The day you left
Since we’ve been apart
I remember everything so clearly
You dropped the ring
On our special day
Looking back
You wave goodbye
As together you and her walk away
I picked up the diamond ring
It shinned so bright
Tears fell from my eyes
As I wondered
What happened?
Where did we go wrong?
I took a step forward
Onto the road
Knowing and wishing
It would be my last
A car speeds up
Heading my way
Your smile
The last thing I see
As everything
Disappears in a flash
