Description
After some research, this dime store label studio band turned out to be one of the many orchestras led by Sam Lanin, particularly prolific recording artist in the 20's and 30's. This cheerful song was recorded in 1926. Vocal by Jack Wilson, a pseudonym for Irving Kaufman. Further personnel included: Larry Abbott, clarinet, alto saxophone and kazoo; Bix Beiderbecke, cornet; Vic Berton, drums; Frank Black, piano; John Cali and Tony Colucci, banjo; Miff Mole, Bill Rank and Chuck Campbell, trombone; Hymie Farberman, Manny Klein, Chelsea Quealey and Tommy Gott, trumpet; Dick Johnson, Frank Signorelli, Lucien Smith and Don Murray, clarinet and alto saxophone; Fud Livingston and Chuck Muller, clarinet and tenor saxophone; Red Nichols, trumpet and cornet; Joe Tarto, tuba and sousaphone; Frankie Trumbauer, C-melody saxophone, as well as Joe Venuti, violin.
