When I was 12 I was taken away
Taken right from their eyes
Taken just taken
Taken away from all their lies

I was put through enough
Being neglected and hurt
I was just trying to be tough
And I was always being curt.

They had me lie
Night after night
I was too hurt to cry just wanted to die
With no one there to hold me tight.

I need someone now to help me out
Before I run away
I’m like a bird in a cage looking out
Being taken away taken away

When I was 12 I was taken away
