Brittany Graviet - Dandelion

I am like a dandelion
Once pretty now ugly
and pieces of me fly away.
Either way i am a weed.
Pretending to be a flower doesn't change that.
I'm not valued or thought highly by florists,
but strangely I've found one that likes me....
Now I'm holding onto my pieces, and growing backwards,
but I don't mind.....
I was a weed,
but a perfect weed,
At one time.......
You take me back to that time,
Bit by bit, piece by piece
Very slowly you steal me back from the wind and more.
Eventually I'll be a beautiful weed,
and everyone can admire your work,
Maybe then they would change their minds,
and won't think of me as a weed.
Then maybe, just maybe,
I would change my mind too.
And then I'd be a true flower.
