British boyband makes US chart history
Description
SOUNDBITE: Unnamed Fan, saying (English):
"They're so cute and it's such good music. I'm just loving it."
Not even the Beatles or the Spice Girls could accomplish it.

British boyband One Direction have made history by debuting number one on the US album charts.
They're the first and only British group to do so.
Their album "Up All Night" entered the US Billboard 200 with more than 176,000 copies sold.
The boys who were put together by music mogul Simon Cowell on the talent show X-Factor have also taken the rest of the world by storm.
The album entered the charts at number one in 12 countries, going triple platinum in Ireland and double platinum in the UK and Australia.
Their legion of young female fans have no doubt helped boost the boys' popularity on social networking sites.
Online platforms have been created on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr of girls who have been struck with "1D-mania".
SOUNDBITE: Unnamed Fan, saying (English):
"I love them, they're beautiful, they're talented."
SOUNDBITE: Unnamed Fan, saying (English):
"Huge fans, fans since last year."
Another British boyband hot on their heels is The Wanted.
Their single "Glad You Came" went Gold on the Billboard 100 singles chart.
It could very well be a battle of the UK boybands for U.S. chart supremacy.
One Direction are set for a number of upcoming U.S. appearances including the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, and the tv shows iCarly and Saturday Night Live.
And for now, it seems the only way for One Direction is up.
