Bridges swept away in Pakistan

Around 13.8 million people have been affected by widespread floods in Pakistan, according to the United Nations.

That figure is greater than the combined total of those impacted by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the 2005 Kashmir earthquake in North Pakistan, and the 2010 Haitian earthquake.

Four million people have been displaced and thousands of homes have been damaged.

The floods have also washed away more than 150 bridges, isolating towns and villages.
