Bridge collapses in Washington state

A portion of a four-lane freeway bridge over a river in Washington state collapsed on Thursday. It was reported that an overloaded truck had crossed the bridge and struck it just before part of it collapsed. Two vehicles and drivers then tumbled into the water.
Two people were seen sitting atop their vehicles before rescue teams arrived.
Three people were hospitalized but are in a stable condition. No one was killed.
