Brian Potthast - One step back

I sit back and wonder why
Fish must swim while birds can fly
Two creatures of this world we’re in
That don’t get mixed with greed lust or sin
They only live for each day
Trusting God to provide every way
So why should we tangle this mess?
I contribute too, I’ll confess
But changing after is what to do
No to keep up and continue
We must stop these wretched deeds
And throw off these sinful needs
