Description

Holding hands, kissing lips, hugging bodies
It was a cold winter.
The snow fell softly, as cold as his heart
Words spoken between the two, passing softer than the breeze
He smiles as he speaks through his teeth
The lies told will soon be revealed
Now she is angry.
Tears falling as softly as the snow, trailing down searing with heat.
Dark was brought to the light that day
Truth broke through the lies.
As the mirror of trust shattered.
Hearts were broken
Entire conversations reinvented.
Entire relationships reinvented.
Wondering if this was the same person that you fell in love with
Turns out it wasn't.
He lied about that too.
When he kissed her, did he mean it?
When she looked at him, did real love stare back, of was that a lie also?
She will never trust again.
She will build a wall, a wall so high, no one will have a chance of getting over to the other side.
The other side to a girl who was so naive that she believe that no could fake love.
So naive that she believed that soul mates existed.
Maybe they do, but not for her, who is cut off from love.
Cut of from the the pain of trusting.
Because even if you put the pieces of the mirror back together, you will always see the cracks in the reflection.
She can't take her eyes of of those cracks.
Scared it will fall apart all over again, like she did.
