Breanna Koelliker - One Confession

I made a confession that ruined it all,
I told you my actual feelings for you,
And everything we had came crashing down,
It was like a one thousand pound weight was thrown on my shoulders,
Depriving me from getting closer,

I regret ever admitting those feelings to you,
But watching you and admiring you from afar was killing me,
Simply tearing me apart,
You said that one painful sentence that finished me off,
'I want us to stay friends, '
And that was all,
Nothing more or nothing less,

I tried to fight back the tears but they just kept coming,
Man were those three days something,
I was tired of waiting to tell you how much you really meant to me,
I just couldn't keep it to myself any longer,

And everything that I didn't want to happen ended up happening,
Eventually we gradually grew apart and I lost the most important person in my life,
That's when I really started to strive,
I still care about you a lot,
Whether you care about me or not
