Brazil elections smooth and efficient

Moments before the polls close in Brazil, it can be safely said that election day was smooth and efficient, especially taking into account the massive numbers involved, 142 million registered voters and 450,000 polling stations. This is the first election using a biometric system in which voters had their identification verified through fingerprints. It was all very efficient and rapid, with virtually no lines at the polls.
