Florence is 2 years old and is a pretty inquisitive little girl. I was putting some Christmas lights up in our front porch, Flo was helping sweep the leaves that had collected there. She saw the spider and immediately picked him up. She was very gentle and just wanted to take a closer look. As you can see she was more than comfortable to let him have a wander, even so close to her face. I knew that she would be ok as she's quite comfortable with creepy crawlies, but I grabbed the camera to get her reaction as this beastie was so massive! She was very calm, gentle and unfazed and didn't mind him creeping closer under her arm and eventually out of sight across her back. He then appeared on her other side, up along her arm and crept towards her face. She was fascinated.
