'Love's Heart'
As this soul is torn asunder,
I can only wonder.
Did she love my the way I loved her?
Why did I let her slip through my fingers?
Hell is the only thing that awaits me,
for it is my true destiny.
And yet these feelings I cannot hide,
I thought her as my world.
My skin crawls from the flames,
a scream escaping these lips.
My thoughts swirling in my head,
this is a bad dream and I should go back to bed.
And yet they return to her smiling face,
I know it's over and yet I cling.
She was worth more to me than any material thing.
Bone chars as the flames grow higher,
I'm lost in her eyes...those pools of desire.
I remember our first kiss, as the flames caress my lips.
Another soul condemned to Hell,
oh Lord save her,
for it is the only thing that matters to me,
as far as I can tell.
