Brandon Brown - Useless

Love is a waste
a manipulative term,
it sneaks in your heart
and feasts like a worm.

I thought it was good
I felt it was right,
for once I saw heaven
its shimmering light.

I enjoyed the light
I nearly cried,
just to find it was hell
and love is a lie.

This is my home
this is my life,
I spent it down there
where hate became my rite.
