Brandon Beck - Internal Struggle

This unsettling moment resides within myself
There is no escape or brushing it aside
Trying to piece it all together
But the emptiness loosens the binds
It shatters the puzzle inside of me
The rope is cut from my neck and
The floor is pulled from underneath me
Struggling to keep calm is an active objective
I am now hitting rock bottom
This anxiety builds up its colossal beings
Creating these monsters of mixed emotions
I am not in control of these demons
They infect my thoughts
Driving my mind into an oceanic depth
A darkness no light could ever brighten
All I can do is try not to feed these malicious beasts
And give them a chance to give some mercy
Only once a beast starts to devour
It's impossible to tame
But I have to try
For my own sake
For my own life
For everyone else
