BPI ATMs, electronic payment back online

The Bank of the Philippine Islands says its automated teller machines and electronic payment systems are back online, after encountering a technical problem Monday afternoon.

BPI earlier apologized to cardholders for the inconvenience of not being able to withdraw their money.

BPI corporate communications head Rita Canchela denies speculation the bank's system was hacked and considers the incident an isolated case.
