Boy hanging from 4th floor window is rescued

Firefighters in central China rescued a 5-year-old boy who was hanging by his head from a fourth storey window, local media say.

The boy could be seen struggling outside the window cage when firefighters arrived at the scene.

Another team of firefighters broke into the locked fourth floor apartment and pulled the boy to safety.

The boy said later that he was trying to climb over the window cage to look for his mother, who had just left home and locked him in the house.
