Standing nose to nose with the North.

NATO's secretary general Anders Rasmussen stands just in front of North Korean soldiers as they monitor his visit to the demilitarized zone along the South-North border Saturday.

At one point as he toured one of the blue buildings, two North Korean soldiers peer into the windows for a closer look.

After weeks of threatening war, the North has yet to act on it's rhetoric. Saturday, it's state run newscaster announced the government will set up an Atomic Energy Ministry to quote "modernize the nation's atomic energy industry".

Meanwhile U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is meeting with counterparts in Beijing where he'll urge leaders to turn up the pressure on the North to scale back it's belligerent sabre rattling.

On Monday, the North will celebrate the birthday anniversary of founder Kim Il-Sung, a day that some say could be the perfect opportunity for a show of strength in the way o
