Eyes that shine with childish wonder
A smile that brightens your day
Small tiny hands that touch and ponder
and little ears that hear all you say

A soft voice you hear calling your name
Pitter patter of little feet on the floor
Wants memaw to sit and play a game
or papap to play ball some more

He asks, ' Who is that? ' and' What is this? '
and, ' Why can't I do that too? '
A little bear hug and a quick kiss
And he runs off to do something new

Terrible two's is what they say
As he makes another mess
he shows me every day in every way
That my grandson is the best!
