Bombing 'targets' Syrian army

Amateur video said to be shot on Friday (June 8) purports to show a bomb being detonated by Free Syrian Army rebels in a Damascus street as a bus carrying regular Syrian Army forces passed by.

Soldiers could be seen leaving the bus amid the sounds of gunfire.

The video, posted to a social media website, cannot be independently verified by Reuters.

Fierce gunfights between security forces and rebels broke out on the streets of the Damascus on Friday (June 8), residents and activists said, an increasingly common occurrence in a city formerly considered a bastion of presidential control.
