Bolivia Reduces Coca Cultivation

Bolivian authorities have reduced the amount of land dedicated to illicit coca production by 30% from 2010 to 2014. However, parliament is considering expanding the production of legally grown coca leaves, which have been used by the population since ancestral times for medicinal, nutritional,. and religious purposes.
