The sweetest strain of the violin
The soft refreshing patter of the rain
Bright songbirds chirp with crisp delight
Crickets harmonize in the moonlit night
The restless but gentle summer breeze
Caress and sway the graceful trees
Babbling brooks, waterfalls
earth's tender kiss
A bright rainbow born
in the fine damp mist
The song of freedom the wild goose cries
Pierce like silver chimes across the skies
Harmonious nature, softly whispers with love
Celestial music from our Father above
A choir awakens the echoes
as bright angel's sing
Man's heart rejoices in tune
with a thousand golden harp strings
But the sweetest and most wonderful sound
ever heard on earth since time began
Is the bright cheerful laughter
of our friends
