BMW Going Green with Electric SUV

BMW is planning to come up with an electric-powered sports utility vehicle to challenge the upcoming Tesla Model X, reports suggest. The BMW board has not yet approved the new electric SUV since they are waiting for the response the Tesla Model X generates when it is launched later this year.
But if booking numbers are any indication then BMW board need not wait any further to approve this project as more than 20000 bookings for the Tesla Model X have already been made.
If and when it is launched, the BMW SUV will most likely be based on the BMW X7 and will have a mileage of 250 miles on a fully charged battery.
