Description

BMW has been researching hydrogen/fuel cells for over 15 years now. Now, it's presented the prototype for a series-1 3-cylinder gasoline-powered production model with fuel efficiency enhanced by direct water injection in the combustion chambers. Almost ready to roll is a 2-series Active Tourer plug-in hybrid with an electric motor transverse-mounted over the rear axle.
