Blue Ants Swarm Helpless Millipede

Despite their colorful, approachable name and appearance, there is nothing friendly about the blue ant! In some cases, their bite can be fatal. Stéphane De Greef was filming for scientific research when he came across a hive of blue ants surrounding an unsuspecting millipede. Although the poor millipede put up a good fight, he was eventually overwhelmed. The blue ants then organised themselves into a daisy chain to transport their prize.
