22 Views • Apr 30, 2017
Description
A spring blizzard blew across western Kansas and the Oklahoma panhandle on Sunday, April 30. A foot of snow was expected in some places. Snow also was falling in Texas and Nebraska.
The Kansas Highway Patrol shutdown numerous highways</a> and urged people to stay home. And while snow was hammering the western part of Kansas, flooding</a> was a problem in the eastern part of the state. Oklahoma was facing similar conditions</a> with snow and flooding hitting parts of the state.
Kathy Brannum, who took this video, said at least a foot of snow had fallen in Boise City, Oklahoma. She said the drifts were covering her car and halfway up her husband’s work truck. She also said the power had been out since the morning.
