Blissful Mister Mannequin

For seven days old tired God
On fire, in a jam, in a rush
Created our wretched world
And for each creature - by a couple.

To create for him - is fun
And finally, to replace himself,
God has created a human being
As an experimental mannequin.

This is not a new idea,
But not corrupted yet.
I’ll prove you, just as two by two,
That Adam was the first mannequin.

And we, rags of chromosomes,
Bits of the divine genes,
We go by beaten path
And we create mannequins.

We are not so dumb
To dress the living ones,
No, we disguise corpses
And dolls made out of wax.

They are so polite – take a look,
Not a thing bothers them.
And they’re so joyful in their lives
That they are not match to us, insane.

I propose a bold plan
Of all possible seasonal exchanges:
We, people, - in their soulless rubbish,
And instead of us – put mannequins.

But I’m willing to swear,
That this won’t work.
They won’t agree to trade places.
None of them, of course,

Will yield his evil comfort to us,
They won’t leave their sunny display windows without fight
He (mannequin) won’t be bend by taxes,
Nor can be moved by an inflation leap

Семь дней усталый старый Бог
В запале, в заторе, в запаре
Творил убогий наш лубок

Ему творить - потеха
