Everyday I feel this way inside.
Pain is part of everything I do now.
I live with a bleeding heart.
I suffered much pain throughout my life.
That I have changed along the way.
My heart has changed from all the painful ordeals I have endured.
I live with a bleeding heart.
I am living a lie.
Keeping who I truly am inside.
I can no longer see my face in my own reflection.
I live with a bleeding heart.
Words spill across the lines of a page.
I have allowed myself one comfort.
And one comfort only.
I live with a bleeding heart.
My single comfort is words.
My soul bleeds on paper.
It causes pain within me…but, also, a burden is lifted.
I live with a bleeding heart.
I want to be the person that lives inside.
But my bleeding heart won’t let me.
I have allowed my heart to control my every action.
I live with a bleeding heart.
I slowly secede to them.
I slowly secede to the tears.
I slowly secede to the tears that bleed inside.
I live with a bleeding heart.
There is blood scattered across this paper.
That is my soul bleeding.
I wonder when the bleeding will end.
I live with a bleeding heart.
