Blaine McCanless - Shaking

Well my soul is shaking
My mind is down and out,
My body is freezing
My thoughts are pouring from a spout,
I've got no promises,
I've got no lies,
I think the world is the problem
And I open up my eyes.
I'll just as soon stand on the moon
Before I can leave this town,
I never had a silver spoon
I was left in the lake to drown,
I've got no worries,
But I've got grief,
I'm ripped between the real world
And a world of make believe.
I can scream at a mountian
And push my luck,
I want to drink from the golden fountain
And I don't want to grow up,
I've got no money,
And I've got no change,
I don't have no honey,
But I got a pocket full of rain.
Well the carnival man opened up his stand
And talked me into playing,
He took the cup from my hand
Said this is how you'll be paying,
I've got no vision,
I've got no sound,
I feel like a tree in winter,
With all my leaves on the ground.
Well I open a door
In the sky theres a black cloud,
And my jaw hits the floor
When blood comes raining down,
I feel naked,
And exposed to the crowd,
The one thing I held sacred,
Was my cardboard crown,
Well I put my mind away
In a brown paper bag,
And then I ask today
Is tommorow gonna be this bad?
