BlackRock Can Keep Fees From Ohio, No Exceptions
1 Views • May 14, 2018
Description
BlackRock, Inc can now keep fees from the state of Ohio, even donations made for presidential elections.
This is allowed due to a recent ruling by a securities regulator.
Mark Wiedman donated $2,700 to John Kasich’s unsuccessful campaign in 2016. The money has since been returned.
But a federal securities rule doesn't allow companies’ executive officers to donate to government officials who could influence how fund managers are hired.
