BlackGirl Lost - When Hearts Attack

Heart attack
Knife through my back
tearing through my flesh
ripping my heart from my chest
Still beating and pulsating
While I'm waiting
for you to return it
but you twist it and turn it
Creating a crumpled mass of beating skin
leaving me to begin again
with My heart on your sleeve
indeed it is hard to breathe
my chest heaves
my lungs wheeze
I'm short of breath
and there is nothing left
I melt away today
but, tomorrow's another day
A fresh new start
to begin again with a brand-new heart
pretty pink and freshly beating
yearning for a new meeting
