everynight that you stay up
crying yourself too sleep

remembering every
promise the world failed too keep

when there's no one beside you
to tell you what you need to hear

and your 'future'
is looking so unclear

i am the voice inside your head
telling you to stay just as you are

i am the one who watches over you
i am every shooting star

i am the one who stops you
from ending your life

you don't know it
but its me who hid that knife

i am the wind
gliding through your hair

no matter what you do
i vow to always be there

and everytime you
feel like you can't make it another day

i am the feeling in your heart
that promises everything will be okay

and the times when you
use that blade to ease your pain

i am the one
begging you to preserve all that remains

and when he tells you
