BJP – Sena alliance in trouble, deadlock deepens

The Shiv Sena-BJP alliance in Maharashtra seemed to be tottering after BJP gave its partner an ultimatum to make up its mind on seat-sharing by Thursday afternoon. BJP leaders claimed that they told Sena leaders, with whom talks were still on at the time of filing this report, that if by Thursday afternoon the Sena does not finalise the issue the party would call off the alliance.
