BJP opposes Bengaluru Municipal 3 way split

Karnataka Government has passed an ordinance for the trifurcation of Bangalore civic bodies. The ordinance has been sent to governor for his approval. According to the new law, the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagar Palike will be disbanded and elections will be deferred, the govt will have the power to appoint an administrative officer and trifurcate the city into 3 local corporations. Both the BJP and JD(S) have opposed the move and has appealed to the Governor to reject the govt's ordinance. According to them, the govt wants to stall the local bodies elections and it will be a disastrous move for Bangalore.
