Bitcoin Holders Reach All-time High
Description
The number of Bitcoin holders reached 40 million for the first time, demonstrating that interest in the token is higher than ever before. Information from IntoTheBlock indicates that Bitcoin is still driving interest even as the token remains pricey and out of reach of many investors. IntoTheBlock’s Head of Research, Lucas Outumuro, said, “After dropping in February, the number of addresses holding Bitcoin has continued to grow and set new highs.” Bitcoin surpassed $47,000 for the first time since January, gaining more than 5% in the past 24 hours. At press time, Bitcoin was trading at $47,300, up more than 6% on massive volume and an increasing market cap.
