Birth of a Worker Bee Timelapse

Engraved by biologist and photographer Anand Varma video time-lapse shows how the formation and birth of bees since the egg hatches and the larvae emerge that begin feeding with royal jelly in their cells and to complete formation of the working bee flies.

The video is part of the talk TED A thrilling look at the first 21 days of a bee's life of Anand Varma, who raised bees in the backyard to make the recording in order to study why bee colonies have become so vulnerable, to the extent that it is considered that bees are in danger of extinction.
