You are my twinkling star
Beyond my reach, much too far
With your charisma I am not at par
My beloved! I will love you from afar

You have memories with which I can’t compete
Your love for me may not be complete
Time is passing with my every heartbeat
In this life perhaps we will never meet

You will never understand my plight
Between my head and heart the bitter fight
My love I reckon you could never requite
I know not if I’m wrong or if I’m right

Don’t mind me, my love you will not know
I hide it deep within so that it would never show
Ever alone, my own boat I shall row
I need not another, my profile I keep low

Sail ahead, my beloved, never look back again
I’ll watch with pride, and nurse my pain
The love I showered on you, I never did feign
To live without your love, my heart I will train
