Bindu Vidyadhar - Breaking Free
0 Views • Nov 10, 2014
Description
Searching for true happiness, finding only pain
I’m forced to live where I can not be me
I wish I could just break free
Competition everywhere for which I don’t care
It’s not true that I can not dare
The joy of life robbed to prove our ability
I wish I could just break free
We fight for a nickel, we fight for a dime
We fight for space and for time
We fight for imaginary boundary
I wish I could just break free
In the past has been waged many a war
Many a time not knowing what we fight for
So inhuman, cruel and gory
I wish I could just break free
I dream of a land peaceful and serene
Unpolluted, calm, pure and clean
Living a life which produces no debris
I wish I could just break free
Drinking from streams which are crystal clear
Wandering about anywhere without any fear
Verdant expanses of land with many a fruit tree
I wish I could just break free
Lying under the moonless sky gazing at stars
Or at the full moon with all its scars
Late into the night till it all becomes bleary
I wish I could just break free
It’s beautiful though with all the strife
With what’s amiss if we don’t make a problem out of life
With whatever there is if we agree
It’s not in the future, we are already free.
