Billy Joel will perform at the Grammys

Joel was announced as a performer on Jan. 24, 'Rolling Stone' reports. The last time he took the stage at the Grammys was in 2002. He and Tony Bennett performed "New York State of Mind". Three days before the Grammys, the veteran musician will release his first single in 17 years, "Turn The Lights Back On". So far, Joel is the only performer who isn't nominated for an award at this year's show. Joel was first nominated in 1979. At that time, he won record of the year and song of the year, according to 'Rolling Stone'.
