Bill Simmons - The Shoe Box

Everything has a purpose to be
Every purpose has a reason to be
Every reason has a, that's the way it is
That's how we ended like this

I don't claim to know all the answers
Nor can I understand all the why's
Sometimes we just have to look life right in the face
And should we fall, at least we have tried

Some, they know where they are going
While others live their lives never knowing
Their purpose in life the day they pass on
Is only a shoe box left showing

Sometimes we try and we do get it right
But more often we never do
Although we tried we did all we could
So we stand but proudly to lose

Everything has a purpose to be
Every purpose has a reason can't you see
What I need to know and I can't understand
Is without you, what purpose is me

What will happen to me
When the day comes they carry me away
When all that I am or could ever be
Without you is just a shoe box away.
