Bill Simmons - The Feather
5 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
As it floats down to me
From high above
From loose, a birds wing
I reach out and touch it
With only my fingers
But something inside me
Stirs memories that linger
What others dream of
What others know of
I once held too
For I once knew love
Just like this feather
That drifts down to me
When love it does come
It comes so gently
While it is in the hand
My own breath it floats away
So gently it does come
So quickly goes away
I once knew love
It seemed so right
When it did come to me
I held on tight
And by my own breath
I watched it float away
For what once was yesterday
Is gone now today.
