Bill Simmons - America
1 Views • Nov 08, 2014
Description
And the old songs we learned to sing
The steps in the mountains we carved with our own hands
The dreams
Where wars are fought and lost and won
And those that died
Where somewhere on a silent night
Someone cried
America
You have lived two hundred years
And suffered too each time we fell
Dried the tears
If old age is wisdom
From the old songs we learned to sing
Is freedom is just another word
For to dream
Blowing in the wind
Against the bluest skies
Flying free in the breeze
A flag it flies
Where steps in a mountain
Are carved by our own hands
Let no one take us under
Where freedom stands
If old age is wisdom
From the old songs we learned to sing
The steps in the mountains we carved with our own hands
The dreams
America
May you continue to build our dreams
And may we continue to learn
The old songs you sing.
