Bill Grace - The Trouble

The trouble with reading good poetry
Is that if you write it at all unless very gifted
The poverty is clear
The greater power of others so apparent
You hope that God is a reader
That somehow somewhere there is an understanding in the universe
Of the things you feel but can not find one word to utter.
