Big DU vs UGC faceoff

The deadlock between Delhi University (DU) and University Grant Commission (UGC) is escalating. While DU sticks to its four year programme, UGC has issued an ultimatum to DU to hold admissions only under the three year programme. Meanwhile, HRD Minister Smriti Irani has backed the UGC order, saying that government won't interfere with UGC's order and added that the universities must follow UGC order.
